Morphometric Study of Dhatarwadi River Basin Using RS and GIS Techniques

Aims: Morphometric study of Dhatarwadi river basin.
 Place and Duration Study: This is a work done for the research in Ph.D. degree at College Agricultural Engineering Technology, Junagadh University, Junagadh, Gujarat, India.
 Methodology: analysis involved determination linear, aerial relief aspects basin, which was carried out using 30 X m SRTM DEM ArcGIS 10.5 software standard formulae.
 Results: The obtained results revealed that basin 6th order drainage basin. total number 1327 streams were identified 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th are counted as 1036, 239, 42, 7, 2 1 number, respectively. mean bifurcation ratio value 4.31 area indicates geological structures not distorting pattern. Stream length varies between 0.14 2.14 late youth geomorphic stage. overland flow found 0.3084 km also very less structural disturbance, low runoff conditions having higher flow. stream frequency 1.5448 km-2, this high permeable geology, almost flat topography. form factor, elongation ratio, circularity compactness coefficient 0.3951, 0.7094, 0.3126 1.7882, respectively suggests shape elongated. texture 7.1426 km-1 shows has short duration peak relief, relative 0.438 km, 0.009372 0.2352, respectively.
 Conclusion: All these parameters indicate terrain with small hillocks/inselbergs to medium potential.
